as well.
I formed the Sandler Wine Company with the bottling of the negociant 2003 Dry
Creek
Zinfandel. That was only 29 cases, but it was the start for the Sandler label. The next year I bottled a 2004 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir, followed by the
2005 Connell Syrah and 2005 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Zinfandel came back
into the lineup in 2006 as well as Sandler’s one and only Cabernet to date.

Sandler is now producing Syrah each year sourced from the amazing Connell Vineyard in the Bennett Valley, as well as Zinfandel from the Buck Hill Vineyard
in Santa Rosa, Pinot Noir and starting in 2009, a Grenache. The first three vintages of Sandler were made at the Freeman Winery in Sebastopol, California, and in 2007 we moved to August West’s new winery in San Francisco.
