The Peterson Vineyard was one of the more successful sites we saw in terms of yield for 2015, coming in at just under two tons per acre. It was definitely the only vineyard which saw more fruit in 2015 than in 2014. We started the vintage a full month earlier than "normal" on August 25 and wrapped things up on September 4.
As is usually the case, the Peterson Pinot will be the first to try out of the Sandler vineyard-designates. The classic Santa Lucia Highlands aromas combine with the delicate texture we find at Peterson to present a complete wine within 6 months after bottling. Try this in early 2017 and expect to it evolve and improve through 2022.
