Sandler's sixth vintage of Peterson Vineyard Pinot Noir in the Santa Lucia Highlands comes from three clones: 667, 828 and Pommard. Peterson is an organically farmed site on River Road, just north of Soledad, in Monterey County. The cool, windy summers are ideal for producing aromatic and elegant Pinot Noirs. 2017 was a typical season at Peterson, until the tremendous heat waves of late August and early September raided California. We harvested in mid to late September, after the heat died down and the vines came back to full strength. The 2017 Peterson Pinot will be bottled in late February 2019.
